its been a while.
first. i want to tell all those in winnipeg, bc, neepawa, or wherever else that i miss you all!!! its been a good summer so far. i got a full time job working at tim hortons from 6am-2pm everyday. (yucky early) and i am spending the majority of my free time with luke.
i have taken up a new (and may i say fantastic) sport....ultimate frisbee! our name is disc proof, and below is a picture (in case people actually dont believe me that i can run around for a whole game and enjoy it). included on the team is luke's brother and sister. and ash, that pink frisbee is mine. i hope you like.
anyways, other than timmys and frisbee, i might be getting another job at michael house (this home for single women who are pregnant or have really young children and cant live on their own). i might be working there as relief staff just on weekends or something. im not sure yet. more to come.
umm i cant think of anything else. other than the fact that i miss my mulvey house. but i am also so glad to be home. i continually feel God's blessings.
thats a rap.
frisbee is great. however, i was the only girl on my team that night. that meant that i had to run almost the entire time. we had to forfeit or first game, but then we won the second. i am seriously SO out of shape!! haha, but it was awesome and im so proud of my team!
tomorrow is jeanette's wedding and im so excited. and i only have two more sleeps till i get home!
today is a good day.
i miss you ellen and ash, and im so sad that i dont get to see you. oh and your video...is quality. i love fanny pack people. haha.

happySo, in Guelph, where I live in Ontario, we have street signs that are named after those who have fought in the war. And about a year ago, my dad wrote into the city and asked them if they could make a street "PENFOLD" after my great uncle penfold. And it has finally happened.
Penfold Drive!!
Here's a pic that my dad sent me:
bouncy

okaywith her to Walmart, but he gets bored with all the shopping trips.
He prefers to get in and get out, but Mrs. Fenton loves to browse.
Here's a letter sent to Mrs. Fenton------
Dear Mrs. Fenton,
Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion
in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and may ban both of you
from our stores. We have documented all incidents on our video
surveillance equipment. All complaints against Mr. Fenton are listed
below.
Things Mr. Bill Fenton has done while his spouse was shopping in
Wal-Mart:
1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's
carts when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute
intervals.
3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the
restrooms.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official tone,
Code 3' in housewares..... And watched what happened.
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and asked to put a bag of M&M's on
layaway.
6. September 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other
shoppers he'd invite them in if they'll bring pillows from the bedding
department.
8. September 23: When a clerk asks if they can help him, he begins to cry
and asks, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'
9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera; used it as a mirror,
and picked his nose.
10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, asked the
clerk if he knows where the antidepressants are.
11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously loudly Humming the
"Mission Impossible" theme.
12. December 6: In the auto department, practiced his "Madonna look"
using different size funnels.
13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browse through,
yelled "PICK ME!" "PICK ME!"
14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he
assumes the fetal position and screams "NO! NO! It's those voices
again!!!!"
And last, but not least.....
15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile,
and then yelled very loudly, "There Ain't NO toilet paper in here!"

anxiousso this morning i had to work at 7:30am. so my alarm went off at 7:00 (at least i thought it was that time). i ate my breakfast and got all ready to go to work, went outside and started walking to work. it seemed really dark outside and quiet, but i just listened to my music. as i got to tim hortons, i noticed that there were no cars in the drive though, and i thought wow thats weird, but i just kept going. i walk up to tim hortons and there's customers in the store so it was all good. then i walked in, looked at the clock and it was 2:30AM!!!!! All the night staff were there and they were like, "what are you doing here?"
i seriously think i might have a sleeping problem, because i have not been sleeping properly, and wake up like 5 times a night. also i have this compulsion thing to always check my alarm clock like 3 times before i go to bed, to make sure it is the right time and set at the right alarm time. so, i dont know what happened, but last night was weird.
i even changed the clock on the microwave to the time that i thought it was because i thought they were wrong. :(
embarrassedthis morning was great! i was standing at the bus stop waiting to take the 60 and fully prepared to be late for my class because i would miss the transfer to the 66 bus. but just to my amazing luck, a 'not in service' bus pulls up and picks me up. the bus driver says "you are always standing here at the bus stop when i drive by."
so i sit down and am excited now that i won't miss my other bus. he starts asking me questions, one of them being what do you study? i tell him geography and psychology. he says, "i have a psychology question for you!" i'm thinking oh no...i am going to look stupid now. but he asks:
"a rocket ship lands in your front yard, you get in and it brings you to a parallel universe. it drops you off again in your front yard and you go into your house and meet yourself. Now...do you get a long with yourself or not?"
haha we also talked about ugg boots and the bus system and why over half the busses are always out of service.
he also explained that one time he picked up a cute little old lady with a walker while he was not in service, and she phoned in to tell the transit system what a nice thing that was for him to do. and the bus system actually was angry with him for doing that, because it is not allowed, and he got written up for it. NOT COOL!
this bus driver made my morning all the better. i wasnt late for my class, and it was fun to talk to a total stranger. i wish there were more people in the world like him.
and i also opened up a bank account today to save money!! that 3% interest will be fun!
cheerfulwell here's some questions that are really funny. my mom send them over to me because she is wonderful. here are my favorite ones:
Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"?
If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the
bubbles are always white?
Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes
that something new to eat will have materialized?
Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with
their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it,
then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?
When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"
How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?
tiredthis weekend was filled with fun cause my bro and sis came to visit. we played some killer bunnies, nintendo wii, ate some boston pizza and smitty's breakfast, and best of all, got to see JARS OF CLAY (and for free!!) Here's some pics:

rejuvenatedOf the road, turn out the lights, get out and look up at the sky
And I do this to remind me that I'm really, really tiny
In the grand scheme of things and sometimes this terrifies me"
"But it's only really scary cause it makes me feel serene
In a way I never thought I'd be because I've never been
So grounded, and so humbled, and so one with everything
I am grounded, I am humbled, I am one with everything"
"Rock and roll is fun but if you ever hear someone
Say you are huge, look at the moon, look at the stars, look at the sun
Look at the ocean and the desert and the mountains and the sky
Say I am just a speck of dust inside a giant's eye
I am just a speck of dust inside a giant's eye"

here's a poem i like from english class: (you can read it if you want)
VARIATIONS ON THE WORD LOVE
Margaret Atwood
This is a word we use to plug holes with. It's the right size for those warm blanks in speech, for those red heart-shaped vacancies on the page that look nothing like real hearts. Add lace and you can sell it. We insert it also in the one empty space on the printed form that comes with no instructions. There are whole magazines with not much in them but the word love, you can rub it all over your body and you can cook with it too. How do we know it isn't what goes on at the cool debaucheries of slugs under damp pieces of cardboard? As for the weed-seedlings nosing their tough snouts up among the lettuces, they shout it. Love! Love! sing the soldiers, raising their glittering knives in salute.
Then there's the two of us. This word is far too short for us, it has only four letters, too sparse to fill those deep bare vacuums between the stars that press on us with their deafness. It's not love we don't wish to fall into, but that fear. This word is not enough but it will have to do. It's a single vowel in this metallic silence, a mouth that says O again and again in wonder and pain, a breath, a finger grip on a cliffside. You can hold on or let go.
let's hope i'm not too sore tomorrow.
sore- it's fun to laugh at things that you know but other people don't.
- it's no use trying to look cool in pink boots, because if you do you will trip and fall on your butt.
- eggnog latte's are made with 2/3 eggnog and 1/3 milk...but if you get all eggnog, it is soo good! they might give you weird looks, but thats okay.
- there are about three types of noses...short and stubby (ashley's), long (mine) and in between. there are also a few that we like to call UNIQUE.
- people like to listen to your conversation, and say the weirdest random things.
- people like toshiba's.
- starbucks is better because they have a nicer interior. nice comfy big chairs, however, one titly table.
- if we only lived a little bit closer to starbucks, our internet connection would work.
- we have two boys that love us a lot
- and that if we end up living far away from each other, we will make it work and be the best long distance friends ever!
i love you ash. always fun times with you.
...now im scared to even go down there.
scared
loved- i'm scared that i won't ever get into teachers college, or that its not God's calling for me
- i'm scared that my marks this year are gonna suck, but i can't find any passion in doing the work
- i'm frustrated and mad at myself because i'm not spending enough time with God, and it hasn't even bothered me much
- i'm frustrated because i suck at dealing with money
- i'm mad cause i don't eat properly, and have become too lazy or busy to make good healthy food
- i'm frustrated because i have so much, and others have so little, yet i am reluctant to give my time or money
- i'm sad because one day i will probably move away from winnipeg, and have to leave all my good friends behind
things to look forward to:
- christmas break
- new classes
- february snowboarding trip
- summer
- grey's anatomy with ash
- crocheting and knitting
- and eventually teachers college
thanks to everyone around me keeping me sain! love you all
indifferentYup, it's in the Bible!
It says...
"HEBREWS!"
happylady: "you know what we just found out today on the internet?"
me: "what's that?"
lady: "that you have nicotine in your coffee."
(haha... like what am i suppose to say to that) and she still bought coffee..what the heck!
but the bus driver saw me and stopped for me. i love it when they do that. sometimes they are so nice!
tiredgot to talk to my boy on the phone,
and IT'S SNOWING!
the snow is much prettier on the mulvey street than on the gross main streets of pembina and grant.
soon i will be able to snowboard. i just need to get those boots.
happyyes, you need to have faith in God, but realize that he already has faith in you.
he choose YOU to be his disciple.
take his yoke upon you.
(Rob Bell video - dust)
last night's worship was great. it was well needed for both me and for God.
calmi dont really understand why some people love biking in this city. its absolutely nuts. i wasn't really wearing anything bright so i decided to stay on the sidewalk. so i experienced a lot of bumps, pretty much every street. AND it was very scary because i felt like i was gonna get hit like on every intersection, because cars don't see things. either biking is generally very scary, or i just don't have "the know how."
even so, it was great and i got some excersize. - is that even spelled right. (and is it spelled or spelt?)
exhaustedand to top it all off...i was eating mark's yummy cookies and many little boxes of chiclets.
gonna go study soon. yuck!
and talk to luke. yeah!
happyI am thinking it's a sign
That the freckles in our eyes
Are mirror images and
When we kiss they're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate
That God himself did make us into
Corresponding shapes like puzzles pieces
From the clay
True, it may seem like a stretch
But it's thoughts like this
That catch my troubled head
When you're away, when I am missing you to death
When you were out there on the road
For several weeks of shows
And when you scan the radio
I hope this song will guide you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
"Come down now," they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
"Come down now," but we'll stay
I've tried my best to leave
This all on your machine
But the persistent beat
Sounded thin upon listening
That frankly will not fly
You will hear the shrillest highs
And lowest lows with the windows down
When this is guiding you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
"Come down now," they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
"Come down now," but we'll say...
okayi had tons of fun...
